BitDefender Total Security 2009 is the ultimate version of this popular protection software. We can purchase it on-line directly from the developers' website or we can evaluate it for free for a 30-days period. Downloading, installing and setting up is very quick and easy. It has got a very friendly user's interface. We can select a lot of options and tasks to be done. The main Dialog Box features a graphical interface with 5 main icons: 1. Dashboard for reporting statistic and main task. 2. Security from we select what issues can be performed to be fully protected,i.e., monitoring components in real-time, scan on demand for malware, on-line security, antispam filtering, identity control, antiphishing protection,parental control and vulnerability scan. 3. Tune Up tells us which security tasks have never been performed giving us the option of performing them now, i.e., registry clean, computer clean, run up disk defragmenter, find duplicate files.4. File Manager. 5. Network displays our own home network structure. It updates both automatically and manually. It runs under
